Located along the edge of a private golf course, this home is a retreat where architecture, landscape, and water elements converge to create a continuous living experience. A reflective pool at the entrance establishes the project’s defining atmosphere — a quiet threshold that introduces the home’s connection to light, sky, and movement.
Beyond the entry, an interior courtyard, with a rock water feature, animates the heart of the home. The moving water, combined with the shifting patterns of daylight, creates a serene core that anchors and organizes the surrounding rooms.
The main living spaces are defined by floor to ceiling windows which expand outward toward 180-degree views of the beautiful private golf course. These views extend beyond the property’s boundaries, visually expanding the landscape. This allows the fairways, greens, and contours of the course to feel like natural extensions of the home’s exterior garden spaces. This spatial transparency allows nature to be an extension of architecture, transforming daily living into an immersive relationship with the surrounding environment.
The lower-level uses sliding pocket doors to dissolve the perimeter of the media room, allowing the interior space to flow seamlessly into the outdoor living and dining areas. Beyond, an in-ground pool and spa anchor the backyard, creating a destination for relaxation, recreation, and year-round enjoyment. A linear rain waterfall enhances the jacuzzi by creating a dramatic visual and auditory backdrop.
The water forms a conceptual spine throughout the residence, like a river, guiding the experience as water moves through the architecture. It begins with the reflection pond at the entry, then reemerges in the interior as a rock water feature. It continues its path from the upper level, forming a waterfall facing the golf course in the rear yard, that falls into the swimming pool at the lower level. Together, this spine of water creates a fluid, continuous sequence that serves as a connective force to the architecture.
Throughout, the design reflects a careful interplay of transparency, materiality, and landscape that blurs the boundaries between interior and exterior. The result is a home that is intimately connected to its site while offering an experience of calm, openness, and refined contemporary living.
