City Home Remodel

The architecture & interiors of this 2,800 square foot home by Garret Cord Werner began as a quaint Spanish bungalow designed in the twenty's. The home was completely gutted and redesigned to provide a very open floor plan that maintained the exterior character of the original architecture while being transformed into a truly contemporary home. Large new windows and sliding doors were punched into the old brick structure to expose the dramatic view to the city. The garden was also completely re-planted with an ornamental pine forest and the landscape architecture was merged with the building and its interiors and includes dramatic water features and our signature sunken Japanese bath that opens into the garden and reflecting ponds. A custom designed dining table in the kitchen is made from one solid piece of solid walnut. The home represents a complete design from architecture, interiors, and landscape as one seamless vision.
